In "Exploring Urban Agricultural Heritage", students and scientists work together on case studies on selected examples of traditional food production in cities.
Building on the current state of knowledge, information on the particularity of the example, its history and future development goals are researched and graphically processed. The videos on the website of the Herrenhausen Conference 2019 provide an insight into some of the “Urban Agricultural Heritage” examples.

The results of this two-semester research field will be part of the book "Urban Agricultural Heritage", which is currently being developed by the Institute of Landscape Architecture. This book explains the phenomenon of Urban Agricultural Heritage and will deliver a global survey of projects and initiatives dealing with traditional forms of food production in cities.
The course started in the 2020 spring term. We do not offer new places in winter term 2020/21.
